Adaptive Gardening Tools

from: Most gardening tools can be adaptive to be used for anyone. If you are looking for adaptive gardening tools then you can look around you're local hardware store. Look for items that are shorter, if you are going to be sitting down. There are special pruning shears that have a ratchet joint. These will help you if you don't have enough strength for normal shears. Some shears will also grip parts of plants and help you pick them up after you've cut off parts of plants. This will save you from bending down. If you are looking for other adaptive gardening tools then look for tools that can be changed. From finding tools that you can make the handle longer or shorter, to tools that have a soft foam grip, this can make them easier to hold on to. You even might be able to find tools that have a cuff on them. This will help you stabilize any work that you are doing.

If you need to make adaptive gardening tools yourself you can use tape and other items that are around the house to help you. Doing this you can save some money. But in the long run it might be easier to buy some adaptive gardening tools that are made. They will last longer then doing the own adaptation on your own tools.

Other then adaptive gardening tools you can change you're garden to make it better accessible to you. If you have a large vegetable garden think of making it smaller, if you think you still need the large garden ask neighbors to come over and help, you can pay them by offering them items from the garden. Or even rent out parts of your garden to people in the neighborhood.

When looking for adaptive gardening tools you can find something that will work for you. To do this you should go to any local hardware store or a gardening store. Even if you don't find what you are looking for then ask some of the workers at the store that you do go to. The workers at any local hardware store might be able to point you in the right direction or know a of any adaptive gardening tools that they have. This might be a quicker way to get what you need. If you are planning on getting new gardening tools then make sure that you have a place to store them. Clean the new tools after every use and make sure that you place them away dry.

Christiansons grow charm at home and in the garden
The Seattle Times
Elements from those crowd-pleasing gardens, including the "Mole's End" greenhouse from the 1995 show, have found a second (or probably third or fourth) life in their home garden. The Christianson aesthetic is more than peeling paint and rusty tools.
